Soul Calibur IV on Xbox 360: Battle Gameplay Short & Overview of the 4th Installment in the Soul Calibur Video Game Series

My Experience Testing Soul Calibur IV Video Game

Testing Soul Calibur IV on Xbox 360 was simply supposed to be a routine test of a video game we were preparing to sell on our website, www.videogamegemvault.com...but it took me by surprise! I was quickly hooked on what an immersive experience it was to play this game. The visuals were excellent for the 360 console. The battles were intense, almost epic one might say. The weapons clashing and the final K.O. was enticing, addictive, and really quite fun! It really drew this gamer girl into the world of Soul Calibur!

Background Info About the Soul Calibur IV Game:

For those of you who are unfamiliar or interested in Soul Calibur IV, here are a few tidbits of information about this fun game title.

Soul Calibur IV's character roster features diverse warriors, each wielding a unique weapon and having a distinct backstory. From the powerful Siegfried to the agile Taki, every character breathes life into the game. The attention to detail that the developer must have put into this game makes it so that every duel is a personal, almost cinematic even, experience!

One thing I liked a lot about this game compared to other battle or fighting game titles I've played in the past was how many options the game gives you to customize your character. I could choose not only who I played as, but I also could choose my preferred type of weapon and even what I wore as armor.

Another unique and neat aspect of Soul Calibur IV in particular was that this release includes 3 guest characters from Star Wars: Darth Vader, Yoda, and the Apprentice. It was a fun mash up as the Soul Calibur and Star Wars universes collided and the battle commenced! Clashing light sabers in the arena upped the excitement and wow factor, in my opinion. The instantly recognizable buzzing and clanging of the light sabers reminded me of my childhood. I used to watch the movie Star Wars: A New Hope with my dad often as a child, and it is a good memory for me.

In addition to versus mode, online multiplayer battles are a new feature in this fourth release of the Soul Calibur series.

Soul Calibur IV was ported to both Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) consoles, so regardless of what camp you call home console-wise, you can have a blast from the past (2008 - 16 years ago now, wow!) playing this title.

Happy gaming! Feel free to comment with your own thoughts or questions.
