Controller Overview:
The OEM NES controller, originally bundled with the Nintendo Entertainment System, is an iconic gamepad that set the standard for console controllers. Featuring a rectangular design, it includes a D-pad for directional movement, two action buttons (A and B), and Start and Select buttons for menu navigation and pausing gameplay. Its simple yet effective layout provided precise control for classic NES titles, from Super Mario Bros. to The Legend of Zelda. Though its sharp edges made extended play sessions slightly uncomfortable, its responsive buttons and durable build quality made it a staple of retro gaming. The NES controller's influence can still be seen in modern gaming controllers today.
