Controller Overview:

The Microsoft Xbox "Duke" controller was the original gamepad released with the Xbox OG (Original Xbox) in 2001, known for its large size and distinctive design. Featuring an oversized ergonomic shape, it included two analog sticks, a D-pad, six face buttons (A, B, X, Y, Black, and White), two triggers, and Start/Back buttons. The controller also had a prominent Xbox logo in the center, which was purely decorative. While praised for its durability and comfortable grip for players with larger hands, the Duke was criticized for being too bulky, leading Microsoft to later replace it with the more compact "Controller S". Despite its short lifespan, the Duke has gained a cult following, even receiving a modern re-release for Xbox One and PC with updated features like an OLED Xbox logo screen.
